SwiftCast ("we", "our", or "the app") is a DLNA/UPnP cast receiver for Fire TV. This Privacy Policy explains what information the app collects and how it is used.
SwiftCast collects no personal data. It has no ads, no analytics, no trackers, and needs no account. Casting happens entirely on your own local Wi-Fi network: media is sent directly from your phone, tablet or computer to your Fire TV and never passes through any server of ours.
SwiftCast does not collect, store, or transmit any of the following:
To work as a cast receiver, SwiftCast announces itself on your local network using the standard UPnP/SSDP discovery protocols. This announcement includes the receiver name you choose and your Fire TV's local network address, and it is visible only to devices connected to the same local network. This is required for casting apps on your phone or computer to find the receiver. No information from this process leaves your local network or reaches us.
SwiftCast offers one optional in-app purchase, SwiftCast Premium, processed entirely by Amazon through the Amazon Appstore. We never see or store your payment details. Amazon provides the app with a confirmation that the purchase was made so the Premium features can be unlocked; that confirmation contains no payment information. Amazon's handling of your purchase data is described in Amazon's Privacy Notice.
SwiftCast stores a small amount of data locally on your Fire TV only, including your receiver name, your settings (such as autostart), and whether Premium is unlocked. This data is never uploaded, shared, or transmitted anywhere.
We do not sell, trade, or share any information with third parties. There is nothing to share: the app collects no personal data.
SwiftCast does not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. The app is suitable for all ages.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Any changes will be reflected on this page with an updated revision date.
If you have questions about this Privacy Policy, you can reach the developer through the contact address shown on the SwiftCast product page in the Amazon Appstore.
